Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas brings the nationally recognized care of Children’s Mercy closer to home. As the only freestanding
pediatric hospital in the state of Kansas, our team has your child covered.

We offer care through our pediatric inpatient unit, an emergency room staffed 24/7, surgicenter, and more than 30 pediatric specialty clinics.

Medical imaging and laboratory services are available with a provider’s order.

Our 52-bed pediatric inpatient unit can help get your child on the road to recovery. We ensure your child is as comfortable as possible in his/her kid-friendly private room. Pediatric hospitalists are available 24 hours a day to manage your child's care, and Child Life Specialists help reduce stress and discomfort.

The hospital is also home to the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, one of only a dozen such pediatric-focused centers in the United States. Our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit is an ABRET certified level 4 unit – the highest level of epilepsy care available and one of only a few accredited pediatric units.

Thanks to the generosity of Kansas City’s own PGA golfing great Tom Watson, the Tom Watson Emergency Department at Children’s Mercy Hospital Kansas is the only dedicated pediatric emergency-service provider in the southern half of metropolitan Kansas City.
