Bringing world-class pediatric care to Southwest Missouri
Time to celebrate! Starting in November, Children’s Mercy and Mercy Springfield Communities are teaming up to bring expanded pediatric services and specialized care to families across Southwest Missouri. This means more kids will have access to nationally ranked specialty care, groundbreaking research and compassionate services – right in their own community. We're growing along the families we serve, because Children’s Mercy is built for kids. Read more about our expanded services and partnership.

Conversations Can Save Lives: Talk to Kids About Suicide Prevention
Suicide is preventable, and one of the most important things we can do is talk about it. Use our conversation starters and toolkit to learn how to encourage kids and teens to share their feelings and teach them where and how to get help. You'll play a key role to help reduce the stigma and support what has become the second leading cause of death for young people ages 10 to 24.
Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH): Byron’s Story
Byron came to Children’s Mercy with a slight fever. He left with a rare disease diagnosis and a new immune system. Close collaboration between teams led to Byron’s inherited hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) diagnosis and treatment—chemo followed by a bone marrow transplant.
