For more than 127 years, Children’s Mercy Kansas City has continued to build upon the legacy of our founders, two accomplished doctors – and sisters – driven by purpose and fueled by passion who pioneered their own path, undaunted by what others saw as obstacles. Their pioneering spirit still courses through the veins of our organization to this day, leading to some of the milestone moments and groundbreaking innovations you’ll read about in the coming pages.

But their legacy is also one of tremendous compassion – the heartbeat that is Children’s Mercy – felt in our diverse and talented team and shared through the success stories of some incredible children you’re about to meet. As we close the chapter on another year, we continue to look toward the horizon with great anticipation of what’s to come.
