Pain Management
Pain Management
Children's Mercy is proud to offer the only Pain Management Program in Missouri. Our team is made up of caring clinicians, researchers, educators and other health care professionals who look at all aspects of your child's life--physical, mental, social and emotional--to help manage and treat their pain.
Our mission is to provide services that promote and support your child's optimal comfort, health, function and quality of life.
The Pain Management Program works together with other departments and clinics at Children’s Mercy to provide safe, effective and efficient pain care that centers around your child's unique needs. We use sophisticated technology to treat pain, especially as we collaborate with the Divisions of Critical Care and Hematology/Oncology.
We also work closely with Clinical Pharmacology, Gastroenterology, Interventional Radiology, Neurology, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Rheumatology and Social Work.
