Continuous Monitoring and Control of Hypoglycemia
The COACH Study
The purpose of this 6-month study is to confirm the safety of using Dexcom's G6 Mobile CGM System for making diabetes treatment decisions instead of fingerstick testing.
- Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes for at least 3 months
- Age 2 to 17 years old
- Child must use a smartphone or have access to a home computer
- Child must not have used real-time continuous glucose monitoring (RT-CGM) in the past 12 months
- Must not have known severe allergy to medical grade adhesive
- Must not have any other disease or condition that may compromise their safety, including but not limited to severe mental illness, a suspected or diagnosed eating disorder or any uncontrolled long-term medical condition that would interfere with study related tasks or visits

FAQs for Patients and Families
This 6-month study includes 3 in-person (or remote) visits and 5 monthly phone calls
Your child will get the CGM right away! They will then be able to keep the CGM. All supplies are covered during the study and after the study, you will be supplied an extra transmitter and one month’s supply of sensors.
