Prediabetes/Diabetes, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Rapid Weight Gain, and/or Insulin Resistance: A study of metformin in youth ages 7 to 21 years old

This study is for children's who are: • Ages 7 to 21 years old • Currently taking Metformin twice a day (not XR) This is a study about Prediabetes/Diabetes, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Rapid Weight Gain, and/or Insulin Resistance diagnosis. Researchers at Children's Mercy want to learn more about Metformin. The purpose of this study is to learn how Metformin is processed in the body and to discover how to best dose Metformin in children.
