Adolescent Medicine
Description and Educational Objectives: The Adolescent Medicine Rotation is a 4 week experience in an outpatient, multidisciplinary clinic devoted entirely to adolescent health care. Students will learn the medical and psychosocial problems unique to adolescents. Interviewing skills will be developed and basic physical examination skills re-enforced.

Elective Duration: 4 weeks duration
Format: Clinical
Maximum Enrollment: 1 student at a time
Prerequisites: Completion of Core Pediatric Clerkship, strong interest in Adolescent Medicine and in their final year of medical school.
Typical Schedule: Clinic is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Conferences are scheduled in the morning or at Noon throughout the rotation. A schedule will be given at orientation.
Thursday morning - CMH Grand Rounds.
A school-based clinic experience may also be possible.

Criteria for passing: Satisfactory performance on the clinical evaluation.
Criteria for honors: Outstanding performance on the clinical evaluation.
