Clinical Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship
Clinical experience
Evaluations are conducted with a wide range of patient populations including:

brain tumors

spina bifida

hydrocephalus

neurofibromatosis

tuberous sclerosis

acquired brain injury
-
complex congenital heart defects

Tourette syndrome

movement disorders

several other medical conditions
Curriculum
Most clinical experiences occur in outpatient settings. Inpatient evaluation experiences are occasionally available. The fellow will also provide consultative services in select Division of Neurology clinics such as the Neurofibromatosis/Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic. Additional clinical training experiences are available in multi-disciplinary programs dedicated to epilepsy surgery, rehabilitation, Tourette syndrome/movement disorders, and functional neurological disorders.
Academic Curriculum
Educational training experiences include biweekly neuropsychology didactics as well as weekly seminars focused on professional development, group supervision, and didactics on various topics offered through the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health’s Postdoctoral Program in Child Clinical Psychology.
Supplemental didactic opportunities are also offered across CMKC and the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine (e.g., Neurology Resident didactics). Additionally, fellows will participate in an original research project or collaboration in existing research projects with faculty.
