Center for Family and Community Connections (CFCC)
The CFCC helps patients and families find resources at Children’s Mercy and in their community. CFCC provides:
Basic Needs
- CFCC can help you get:
- food
- diapers
- hygiene/cleaning products
Community Resources
- CFCC can help you find community resources for:
- utilities such as electricity, water, gas, and phone
- housing
- food
- safety
- gun locks
- transportation
Legal Services
- KLS Legal Services Clinic is located at the CFCC. They help patients and families from Missouri and Kansas with:
- Medical equipment and services denials
- Housing issues (such as evictions, foreclosures, and poor conditions in rental housing)
- Powers of Attorney and Guardianships
- Orders of Protection for violence in the home
- Denials of public benefits, including SSI and Medicaid
- Advice about custody, paternity, child support and abuse

Child and Family Mental Health Services
The Child and Family Therapy team aims to support families, improve relationships, and teach skills to cope with stress and trauma. They offer education and therapy sessions.
