The purpose of the Children’s Mercy Research Institute (CMRI) Conference Center is to provide state-of-the-art space for Children’s Mercy and for civic, charitable, or other organizations whose purpose is aligned with the healthcare mission of CM, to conduct meetings, conferences and events that work to improve the well-being of children, facilitate learning and advance research.

To request use of the space 

  1. Review our guidelines.
  2. Identify a Children’s Mercy employee to serve as your internal sponsor.
  3. Fill out the CMRI Meeting Space Inquiry form

About the CMRI Conference Center

  • HOURS OF OPERATION: The CMRI Conference Center is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays.
  • SPACE AND CAPACITY: Please refer to the CMRI Conference Center Overview to view the facility floorplan and capacity chart for our auditorium, multipurpose space and conference rooms.
  • FEES: At this time, most expenses associated with using the CMRI Conference Center are absorbed by Children’s Mercy as part of our commitment to the community and children’s health. They will be outlined in the External Use Agreement for reference, and CM is always appreciative of donations in any amount to help advance our mission. Should any costs need to be extended to the External Event, they will be specified in the External Use Agreement.
  • CATERING: Use of the hospital’s internal caterer is optional, and there is not a food and beverage minimum required to use the CMRI Conference Center.
